Can Paperless Systems Reduce Cross Contamination?

Paperless Systems Reduce Cross ContaminationThe less that people have to handle and pass things around, whether it is a pen and clipboard, or sheets of paper from the person completing the form to the supervisor, then to the person who files the form away – the less chance of cross-contamination! Can paperless systems reduce cross contamination, in businesses – and ultimately remove risks to employees?

During a business trip in mid-March, earlier this year, we were in Scotland – even then the guidance for small hotel owners (from Tourist Scotland) was that even the sharing of a pen during the booking in process was to be avoided – never mind the handling of paper!

With ISITCHECKED the person completing the form or checklist uses their own mobile phone, the checks are made, then the form is saved, a report is produced, and is readily available for the business owner to address and store for their compliance records.

Looking to the future of paperless and contactless checklists – whether it is the NHS, facilities Management, home care for the elderly/infirmed, or care homes, everyone at some point has compliance checklists that they complete, this is normally on paper (not counting clinical notes).

Any companies that have to carry out regular checklists, in order to satisfy their internal processes – and ensure that they are operating a ‘safe business’ – whilst complying with Health and Safety regulations – there has never been a better opportunity to review how you are working, and to look into how simple technology and smart devices can save you time, money – not to mention all of the associated admin headaches – when using paper-based systems!
